Anonymous Jack
I’ve just finished university and I’m looking for an awesome web / digital media job. I’m a geek with an arty streak; combining an overactive imagination with technical shenanigans and attention to detail. I like tea. I have mastered several acronyms, including XHTML, CSS, PHP and OOP. I’m pretty good at Flash too. You can contact me at simon@anonymousjack.co.uk.

Anonymous Jack is the website of Simon Grout a student recent graduate in Digital Art and Technology. Simon has one years experience and a degree. He is looking for a job. In the post-university aftermath, the website is taking a little to think about what it's done; for now here are a few examples of what I've been up to recently.

Flash game prototype

The mini-game / toy below (inspired by flow) is a 2.6KB Flash file, written in object oriented ActionScript. All of the graphics are generated through code, nothing has been pre-drawn. Why? Because I wanted to prove that I could! Also of note, the trigomonetry calculations required to make the rhombi spin were particular bothersome (to someone who hasn't done maths for a while).

The story of Schrödinger's cat

A pixel-tastic animation about a scientist who decides to see what happens if the Schrödinger’s cat experiment is carried out for real.

Helvetica in Space

Dynamic typography that changes the shapes of its letterforms based on the environmental conditions of the surrounding area. See the project page for more details.
